Description

For your consideration is a Ham "IV", bearings kit for reconditioning the old worn "egg shaped" steel bearings. These are brand new manufactured exact replacement bearings for the Ham "IV" Rotators. Replacing those old worn bearings will give a much smoother rotation in the rotor and prevent possible "seize-up" of the motor. Ham "IV" rotors use 98 bearings. Other "Ham type rotor bearings are on auction (Buy-it-now) here on E-bay under my name " n3qkradio ". I would advise changing all bearings at one time because the older ones may look ok, but in a short time they too will fail. Also now included is enough lithium grease to lube both bearing races. One bearing set race is on the bottom stationary part and the other is on the rotation bell part. Taking the rotor apart is not an easy task, so changing and lubeing all the bearings at once will last a very long time. Also included is a liberal amount of Marine Grade grease to coat each bolt and screw thread put back into the rotor during re-assembly to make bolt removal years later a much easier task. I will also include my step-by-step instructions that I have made to help in the proceedure. Kit includes: 100 bearing pcs, Lithium grease lube, Marine Grade anti-corrosion thread grease, and my written step-by-step instructions. I have re-built many rotors for the local area ham community over a 25 year span. I am available via e-mail to answer any questions concerning the rebuilding you may have. $35.00 with FREE shipping via Priority Mail.
